Hunger Games Link Party

Hello friends and followers!

Check out this blog’s link party for all things “Hunger Games”  You know the premiere is right around the corner, and everyone is so excited!  The cool thing about Hunger Games is that the series really appeals to both boys and girls, young and old.  It’s a really well written series.

Of course, I’ve had my Hunger Games printable since last summer when we had my son’s party, so I am listed too.

Available in my Etsy Shop.

Oh, and don’t worry, I didn’t forget about the Glee printable – we’ve had some technical difficulties as of late.  It should be posted by the end of the day – plenty of time before the 2nd half of the season!

Best,

Krysten

Taking a break…

Did you notice that we were taking a break?

Well, we didn’t mean to take quite such a break, but since it’s just me and my darling sister, Amber (our pic below), getting the party started, and we decided that we had to refinish a room in my house, design a desert table for our local school for 500 guests, and get ready for more up and coming party goodness, the blog took a back seat for a couple of weeks.
But – we’ve been taking lots of pictures, and we are about ready to share it all with you! Along with our freebies, party tips, bloggy clips, wicked smaht awards, blog hop Fridays and all the stuff you look forward to.
Watch out! Cuz here we come!
Best,
Krysten

The Hussy

My darling bff, Elaine, is publishing her first book. It’s called, The Hussy. She honored me by asking if I would design the book cover.
Fer realz!

And it’s ready to order on Createspace - soon to be on Amazon – and here is the description:

Authored by Elaine Watkins

For 27 years, Julia Pettigrew avoided being a hussy. It is an unusal mandate but since her maternal grandmother was a hussy of some repute, the taint was always hanging overhead. That and the fact that her grandfather (who was once wedded to the hussy) was a minister of some repute made the mandate a matter of pride. Under the vigilant eye of her family, Julia had managed to stay well (her friend Corene would say too well) within the bounds of respectability, that is, until a scorching hot dog day in July; when a red dress, a lottery ticket and a barely black man put all her efforts in jeopardy.

This book is laugh-out-loud funny. You should order it TODAY!

Fabulous Feature!

We were featured at The Savvy Mom’s Blog!

The Savvy Mom’s are a pair of friends putting their smarts to work and sharing it with the rest of us!

Here’s a bit from their About Us page:
…We have found that Spray Paint, Scrapbook Paper and Fabric can give anything a facelift. The Dollar Bin at Target is better than a Sale Rack at Nordstrom’s (well maybe not, but that is what we tell our husbands). Pictures of family are Priceless compared to Framed Art (and cheaper). And nothing is better than Starbucks……but you can live without it, as long as you have a good Coffee Creamer.

Spooktacular Free Finds
Holiday Party Planning is well under way….We can not wait for you to see our October Halloween themed party play date. The Blog World is full of great finds, so many amazing printables, tablesacapes and designs. We shared with you yesterday the Adorable Printables we are using from Tweedle Dee Designs. Today we wanted to share with you these FREE Spooktacular finds.
Don’t you just love these Luminaries from the Clickable Party? We think these are Super Savvy since they can not only be used as a Luminarie but also a Bag, or even a Framed Piece of Halloween decor for your home.

Thanks girls!

Krysten

Friday Feature Me!

We’re starting a new blog series!

Monday’s blog has stuff that’s free
Tuesday’s blog has a recipe
Wednesday’s blog has party tips
Thursday’s blog has bloggy clips
Friday’s blog features someone new
That’s all the blogs – the week is through.

Today’s the start of our Friday, Feature Me! Next Friday, I will feature some favorite submissions from this week. We don’t have a button yet, so this is what we’re asking:

1. Add your Feature Me! link below {says, “click to enter here”}.
2. Follow us on either here on Blogger {in column on the right}, Facebook or Twitter

That’s all!

Because this is the beginning of this series, I will just share with you some of my favorite sites.

1) Dollar Store Crafts. I love all the neat ideas on this site. I’m all about saving money whenever possible, and frequent dollar stores, Salvation Army and other discount chains. Hacking inexpensive stuff to make it look like a million bucks is genius. This site is full of genius! I mean… watch this: Make an Apothecary Jar for $2!

2) Another new favorite of mine is 24/7 Moms. This site is busy! She’s got tons of tips, ideas and freebies. If you haven’t visited her, you should! Her latest post is What Are Cheapskates Buying to Save Money. Great stuff.

Have a great weekend everyone! I have a date with my mop and broom…oh and paperwork. Blech! Maybe I’ll play hookie a little and take the kids apple picking!

Best,
Krysten
